City/County Inspection→ Once everything has been assembled, the system must pass a city and/or county inspection for safety and code compliance.
Utility Company Inspection→ A series of applications and system specifications must be submitted to the local utility company in order to have permission to connect to their electrical grid. After approval, the system is ready to be connected on the utility grid. A field worker will be sent out to install a new or replace a current meter with a net meter.
Utility Grid→ The home is connected to the electric company’s utility grid. Therefore, when more power is needed, the house will still be supplied with energy (e.g. after dusk).
